Ivan Sanford pursued art through high school and attended the Newark College of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has many thoughts, memories and visions of his interaction with art over the years. These are what he sees and what he works with to create his paintings. They are abstract and mostly intuitive, though some are nominally representational. His impulse to paint is progressive, and the resultant images are for the viewer to understand on his or her own terms.
